Cordys Analytics secures new funding to expand GALVO across Europe

September 28, 2026 — Funding

UTRECHT, the Netherlands, 28th September 2026 — Cordys Analytics, a Dutch medical technology company specialising in AI-powered electrocardiogram (ECG) analysis, has announced a seed funding round led by Healthy.Capital, with participation from existing investors LUMO Labs, ROM Utrecht Region and Utrecht Health Seed Fund. The funding will support further development of its GALVO platform and the expansion of its commercial presence in Europe.

Originating from research at University Medical Center Utrecht, Cordys develops technology that helps healthcare professionals interpret ECGs and use AI insights in clinical decision-making. Its ambition is to build GALVO into a full-spectrum AI-ECG platform supporting diagnostic centres, clinics, hospitals and ECG device manufacturers.

GALVO is designed to work with ECG devices from different manufacturers and fit into existing clinical workflows. By bringing AI analysis into the systems healthcare professionals already use, Cordys aims to make advanced cardiac diagnostics more accessible in everyday care.

“Our ambition is to make advanced ECG analysis available wherever patients receive care,” said John van den Berg, co-founder and CEO of Cordys Analytics. “With GALVO, we are building a full-spectrum AI-ECG platform that healthcare providers and device manufacturers can integrate into their daily practice and products. This investment allows us to broaden our offering and bring it to more customers across Europe.”

“Cordys brings together clinical expertise and the engineering needed to put AI into practice,” said Alexander van der Wyck of Healthy.Capital. “Its data-driven, AI-native diagnostics platform targeting a core inefficiency in European cardiology is directly aligned with Healthy.Capital’s investment thesis around healthcare capacity relief and AI-driven clinical workflow improvement. We look forward to working with Cordys’ founders and the team as they build their presence across Europe.”

“Cordys is addressing a practical challenge in cardiac care: how to make advanced ECG analysis available to clinicians without adding complexity to their workflows,” said Sven Bakkes, Founding Partner at LUMO Labs. “We believe in Cordys’ ability to turn its expertise into a solution that can make a meaningful difference in daily clinical care, and we look forward to continuing to support the company as it further develops GALVO and expands across Europe.”

Clinical quality and information security

GALVO is CE-marked as a Class IIb medical device under the European Union’s Medical Device Regulation (MDR). Cordys Analytics operates an ISO 13485-certified quality management system for medical devices. The company is also working towards ISO 27001 certification for information security management, which it expects to obtain by the end of 2026.

Building on a presence in the Netherlands and Spain

Cordys already has a presence in the Netherlands and Spain. Its immediate focus is to expand customer relationships and partnerships in these markets, before entering additional European countries. The new funding will support this expansion alongside continued platform development.
